We are back!
I'm sorry for falling off the face of the Earth, but here we are.
Things have been well, I started hooping again and working on that mental health. Honestly, I have been feeling all of these retrogrades going on right now- lots of feelings going on over here.
Quick note: I have been thinking about transitioning this blog into a podcast. Any thoughts? ,
Anyway, I'm struggling to sit still and write this, so let's just jump into it.
Today I would like to talk to you about Targoviste Castle of Muntenia, Romania.
Sound familiar?
This Castle is currently known as Bran Castle or Dracula's Castle, and yes, this is a paranormal story.

Let's start with just a tiny bit of history.
Located in the Bran Gorge, an essential passage throughout history, both as a trade route and used for military invasions.
King Louis built the Castle I of Anjou, Slovakia, on November 19, 1377.
It blows my mind that buildings from the 1300s are still standing. It should also go without saying, but this is another place that I am dying to visit. I have an obsession with Romania and feel drawn to some areas strongly. For example, the Hoai Bachu forest, which I got tattooed on my arm on Monday. It's part of my Addam's Family sleeve that I can't wait to finish next week.
I don't know how to explain my familiarity with a forest I have never been to- at least in this lifetime. Whatever the reasoning is, I know it's more than just liking some creepy looking trees. Have you ever felt like you have been somewhere before, not like Deja Vu, but like a past life? I could be crazy.

Anyway-
The Castle belonged to our guy Vlad Tepes, better known as Vlad the Impaler, Son of Vlad Dracul, from 1448-1476. This Walachian ruler, if you recall, is the dude who turned people into kabobs.
The Castle switched hands a LOT over the years, and we would be here forever if I mentioned them all. The place also inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula, which is loosely based on Vlad.
So, that'll be all the history we will cover- on to the ghosties.
The first spirit I'll mention is Queen Marie, who moved into the Castle in 1920. She absolutely loved the Castle and spent most of her life restoring it and still hangs around the Castle. She is seen wandering the Castle and working on various things. I believe she was the one to plant violets on the property, but I am not sure, regardless, there is a strong odor of violets in the area, which is nice. I mean, it could smell like rotting bodies, so the violets are a pleasant surprise.
Who else haunts this place? Well, Vlad, of course. While researching this story, I discovered that Vlad haunts a LOT of places.
I'm talking multiple castles, forests, and he answers a Quiji board like there's no tomorrow. I mean, I'm happy for him; he has options.
There are too many tourists at Bran Castle; I'm going to the Hoai Bauchi Forest.
Investigators have seen everything from orbs, shadow figures, to full-blown possessions at this location. As always, I watched the Ghost Adventures episode on this place-which is my favorite episode ever.
The GA team set up a static night vision camera in the Artifacts chamber, and they definitely got some activity. For example, they saw an orb spiraling upward, which was unsettling. That was nothing compared to the full shadow figure that was connected to the orb. I got goosebumps when I saw that, and I highly recommend the episode.
The team recorded several voices in the dungeon, even a female voice saying hello that they think belongs to Queen Marie. They also experienced cold spots and energy drains from that area of the Castle. Since, like most dungeons, there's a lot of pain trapped in those walls, that doesn't just go away when the prisoners die, it makes sense.
That's all I have on this place but (surprise!) this is a two-parter. Next time we will talk about the castle where Vlad's remains are said to be. Oooo spooky.
Anyway, there is a thunderstorm rolling in, and its the perfect music to hoop to. I hope you enjoyed this short briefing on Bran Castle and don't forget to subscribe.
